Minimalism in the bathroom

Ever stop and consider how many personal care products you are habitually using? Are they really improving your life, or a result of clever advertising and wishful thinking? I decided that many of the products I was using provided no proven benefit, and were impacting my wallet, the environment, and possibly even my body, negatively. This post documents my efforts to minimize my use of personal care products while maintaining healthy skin and hair.

Notes

I tried quite a few natural deodorants. I had rash reactions to several of them. It took a while for my body chemistry to adjust. Ultimately, I settled on the crystal rock which seems to be working well. Daily showers with Dr. Bronner’s using exfoliating gloves is super refreshing. New Wash is expensive, but eliminates the need for conditioner, and is only needed 3-4 times a week and so is actually money-saving.
